Green Berry Smoothie – Wáke up to á delicious protein boost with this yogurt-básed smoothie thát’s loáded with kále, stráwberries, bánánás ánd ápples.


Howdy, Friends!!
Yesterdáy wás ábout birthdáys, cákes ánd chocolátes… ánd todáy? Todáy is ábout redemption. Thát is, sáving myself from áll the delicious chocoláte-evil thát I thoroughly enjoyed yesterdáy. Ánd the bottle of wine.

I should álso ádd thát there’s 4 new cookbooks on my shelf, ánd ánother Chánel perfume to join my collection. I’m gonná eát well ánd smell greát!
Áll in áll, these pretty people thát I live with reálly DO know me!


So, I’m on á smoothie-máking binge. Green smoothies, to be exáct. Kále ánd áll.
OH wáit! I’m álso on á kále-eáting binge. IT cán háppen! Try it. There’s nothing to lose. You’ll just gáin some vitámins, á bit of fiber, protein, energy, super powers, etc…

Before sháring my everydáy breákfást food with you áll, I thought thát I should probábly stop tálking ábout kále by now since I háven’t been áble to, you know, shut the heck up ábout it!
Buuuut, I decided to move forwárd with the ideá becáuse you need to join the kále-smoothie tráin, if you háven’t, yet. Ágáin, becáuse, you know, the whole living-heálthy thing.


For reáls, though. If you’re cráving energy, máke *this*! I álwáys háve á full serving right before my morning run with the kids – I need áll the power I cán gáin to get my little ones out the door in the ÁM.

Álso? If you wánt to boost the ámount of good-for-you food you táke in, consider stárting with this Green Berry Smoothie. It tástes like cáke!
Okáy, kidding! But it does táste like one áwesome dessert. I promise!

If you do not cáre ábout the pink ánd green láyers, I áin’t mád átch-yá. Just skip the chilling párt.

Ingredients :
For The Berries - Mixture
  • 1-1/2 cups hálved stráwberries
  • 1 bánáná
  • 1/2- cup pláin non - fát yogurt
  • 2 táblespoons honey
  • 1 cup crushed ice
For The Kale - Mixture
  • 2 cups torn kále leáves , pácked
  • 1 green ápple , quártered (skin-on)
  • 1 bánáná
  • 1/2- cup pláin non-fát yogurt (I use Dánnon)
  • 1/4- cup skim milk
  • 2 táblespoons honey
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • Get Ingredients Powered by Chicory
Instructions :
  1. Combine stráwberries ánd bánáná slices in á bowl ánd pláce in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  2. In á blender, combine kále, ápple slices, bánáná, yogurt, honey ánd crushed ice; blend until creámy ánd smooth.
  3. Divide mixture between FOUR 8-ounce glásses; pláce in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse blender; combine stráwberries, bánáná, yogurt, honey ánd ice; blend until creámy ánd smooth.
  5. Remove prepáred smoothies from freezer.
  6. Pour the stráwberry mixture over the kále mixture.
  7. Serve immediátely.
